CELEBRATION CONCERT JANUARY 27 WILL SALUTE THE CHESHIRE EDUCATION FOUNDATION’S 30th ANNIVERSARY
The very best singers and musicians from Cheshire Public Schools will help the Cheshire Education Foundation celebrate its 30th anniversary on Tuesday January 27th, beginning at 6:30 PM. The Celebration Concert will be held at Cheshire High School’s Thorp Auditorium, and admission is free.
Students from Cheshire elementary schools, the middle school and high school will all be featured in this Celebration Concert. In its 30 years, the Cheshire Education Foundation (CEF) has raised more than $2 million dollars to fund educational projects and scholarships in the Cheshire Public Schools.
The first CEF project back in 1996 was the video production studio at Cheshire High School. One of the most recent was a $55,000 gift to support robotics in the elementary school classrooms.
Cheshire Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeff Solan has helped the CEF organize the upcoming concert along with the music teachers and professionals from every school. He said, “The Cheshire Education Foundation has been responsible for hundreds of thousands in scholarships and donations that have benefited Cheshire Public School students.”
The Cheshire Education Foundation has contributed well over $2 million in private funds to enhance the programs and offerings of the Cheshire Public Schools since 1995.
