CHESHIRE EDUCATION FOUNDATION HAS A NEW HOME FOR ITS SIXTH ANNUAL TRIVIA CHALLENGE
An annual rite of spring in Cheshire is the Trivia Challenge fundraiser staged by the Cheshire Education Foundation. For its sixth edition this year on Saturday April 1, the event will be hosted by Rebel Interactive at their headquarters building at 535 South Main Street.
The renovations made by Rebel Interactive to the former Furniture Barn building include a large conference space. It can accommodate 30 teams of four for the Trivia Challenge, which raises money for the CEF to fund projects and scholarships in the Cheshire Public Schools.
“We’re happy to share our beautiful HQ space and technical resources with the Cheshire community, including the Cheshire Education Foundation for their upcoming event in April, as well as the Chamber of Commerce for upcoming planning meetings and more,’ said Bryn Tindall, CEO and owner of Rebel Interactive Group. “We have enjoyed being a part of the town since our relocation last summer and we look forward to continuing to provide for the community moving forward.”
Rebel Interactive was founded ten years ago in Southington and is now one of the fastest growing companies in Connecticut. It is a locally owned, cutting-edge digital marketing agency that provides branding and marketing services including website and video creation.
Andrew Martelli, the town’s Coordinator of Economic Development & Grant Writing, made the connection between Rebel and the education foundation. “I applaud The Rebel Interactive Group for stepping up and hosting this great event,” said Martelli. “It’s wonderful to see a new Cheshire business willing to give back to the community as the Cheshire Education Foundation has done for a generation! We’re looking forward to a great night!”
Earlier this month teams of four players each began registering online at CheshireEducationFoundation.org to compete in the Trivia Challenge. Members of the Cheshire High School National Honor Society chapter will assist at the event and tabulate the results to determine the winning team. And student bakers from the CHS Food Service class are planning to bake a variety of cupcakes to contribute to the fundraising efforts.
“Our Board is thrilled to hold our 6th annual Trivia Contest at Rebel Interactive,” said CEF chair Derek Gromko. “Rebel’s facility has allowed us to increase the number of trivia teams and will provide a better experience for the contestants. We are thankful that Rebel volunteered their space and hope to continue this partnership for many years to come.”
