It’s time for Cheshire High seniors to apply for scholarships. This year the Cheshire Education Foundation has added an eleventh scholarship that it administers.

The Cheshire Lights of Hope scholarship will be awarded to one senior who best exemplifies the mission of the organization through volunteerism and community service. A $2,000 scholarship will be presented to that person at the beginning of their first term of college. The first step for seniors to take is fill out the Cheshire High School common application, available from the Guidance Office.

In the past five years alone, the value of Cheshire Education Foundation scholarships has exceeded $250,000. “One of the most important things we do each year is to help these deserving seniors continue their educations,” said Derek Gromko, chair of the CEF board of directors.
